String quartet # 1 was written in a very impressionistic style, as the music of the likes of Debusy and Ravel is very close to my heart . The first two movements were written many years ago, and the third was added a few years back, at the suggestion of composer and Chair of the music department of Colorado College, Dr. Ofer Ben- Amotz.
